Vineyard and Winery News: April

Spring has officially arrived in the vineyard and winery, and it’s a busy time of year! Schedule a winery tour, enjoy a tasting, treat yourself to something delicious from the Paddock Café and give the local vendors we feature a try… We’ve always got lots happening, here’s a look at just some of the activity going on at Adamo Estate Winery this month:

In the Vineyard: We’re so excited to be producing fruit from a new part of the vineyard this year! Three years ago, we planted 6 acres of vines and this year they will be producing fruit for the first time. The vines are in Block 3, located at the far west side of our property, and the crops will include: Chardonnay Musqué, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling. Stay tuned for the arrival of these wines! Bottling: Our first dessert wine will be bottled this month, to be released in late spring/early summer. What was our process? Well, we dried Muscat grapes in the kilns for 4 weeks, we pressed them off and then fermented them in barrel. We have now a wine that is 15.5% alcohol, with 76.4 grams residual sugar.
