Aroma:
A perfumed wine with orange blossom, lemon rind and honey that fill the glass. Secondary notes of tree fruits: peach, apricot and apple are showcased. Underlying aromas of creamed butter, grapefruit pith and vanilla along with poached pear follow.
Palate:
The flavours on the palate are similar with great length and richness; vanilla, tree fruits and spring orchard blossoms when entering the palate. This Roussanne-Viognier- Marsanne is big, round, fresh and full on the mid-palate. The influence of oak is noticeable on the palate with sweetness, integrated soft tannin texture, creaminess and vanilla flavours. The light oak influence is balanced and integrated with the perfume notes and flavours of peach, pear, apricot, and candied-lemon. A pleasant and opulent wine that is fruit driven with a rich mouthfeel and medium body and weight on the palate. The balanced acidity carries the wine through to a long finish with the taste of honeysuckle that lingers. This Roussanne-Viognier- Marsanne blend is very food friendly and pairs well with roasted game birds and lightly spiced Thai dishes.
