The 2016 Gewürztraminer was harvested when the flavours were fully developed and the acidity was just right. We hand harvested to protect the integrity of the fruit and processed some to skin soak for 4-6 hours. After skin soaking, we whole cluster pressed in our gentle bladder press. Juice selection was made at the press pan to ensure there was not any over extraction of phenolic flavours from the grape skins. It was then cold settled after pressing and then racked into stainless steel for a long, slow fermentation at cool temperatures, to enhance aromatics and preserve fruitiness. Fermentation finished this vintage and the wine was protein stabilized and filtered before bottling.

A perfect match to the aromas, rich with rose petals and lychee fruit when entering the palate. This Gewürztraminer is fresh with a tight focus and is very fruit-driven. Citrus pith, citrus flesh and spice are layered with subtle texture and balance. A pleasant and balanced, medium bodied wine with a medium-long finish that drinks well on its own and pairs with many styles of food.
A very perfumed wine with rose petal, lychee and citrus that fill the glass. A fresh, ripe medley of fruits and flowers fill the glass and awaken the senses. Secondary floral notes of green apple and spice complete the aroma profile
