This Kirby Vineyard Rosé is made from 100% Gamay Noir. The Gamay Noir grapes had a 10 hour skin soak before we took off some of the juice from the crushed fruit. The juice is pumped to tank for cold settling and clarification before racking to a secondary tank to start alcoholic fermentation. After the alcoholic fermentation starts, we transfer the fermenting wine to neutral barrels to finish ferment and to age for 5 months. This delicious rosé is then brought back to tank for fining and filtering before bottling.
Light salmon with a clear hue.
A fresh and lifted aroma of strawberries, grapefruit and pomegranate. A fragrant and focused rose that is fruit driven and concentrated. Secondary aromas are
subtle and quietly show themselves as the
wine opens and evolves.
Similar to the aromas, the palate is full of red fruits including sour cherries watermelon, rhubarb, pink grapefruit and red delicious apples. A clean and refreshing rose that drinks similar to a white wine with its light body and dry finish. An acid driven rose with bright fruits for balance, a tight focused palate
and salivating finish. This is your perfect patio sipper and pairs well with light appetizers, seafood and salads.
